A newly released book on Theological Education by Extension (TEE) offers global perspectives on the effectiveness of TEE as a response to the training needs of today’s Church, and also shows the model’s adaptability to varying contexts in different parts of the world.
On 1 June 2021, Re-Forma launched the online version of its program, which has already seen nearly 800 groups enroll in 65 countries.

As representatives of the Department for Theological Concerns of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), Thomas and Christine Schirrmacher visited the two most important evangelical theological training centres in Australia, the Anglican Moore Theological College and the Baptist Morling College, both of which cooperate with the University of Sydney.
In a double guest lecture at PTS College & Advanced Studies in Dasmarinas City, Philippines, the representatives of the World Evangelical Alliance responsible for Islam and for Theological Education, Christine and Thomas Schirrmacher, together with the college management discussed the question of how the subject of Islam could be taken into greater account in the curriculum.

Recently, ten elder statesmen of Evangelical theological education, came together in Schmitten, near Frankfurt, to establish Re-Forma, which has now been legally listed in the roll of the Court in Bonn, Germany.
