    Tirana: Distinguished Friends from the Middle East at the Seat of the Holy Synod

    At the Seat of the Holy Synod in Tirana, the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, His Beatitude Anastasios hosted a delegation of distinguished personalities from Lebanon, of the Ghazanide prominent royal family, since the time of the Byzantine Empire until the 18th century, consisting of Sheikh Selim El Chemor, Beirut, Lebanon, Prince Gharios El-Chemor of Ghassan, Aman, Jordan, Mr. John Domonkos, and Dr. Elie Gharios.

    Ghassanid Royal Family visits Sufi world leader

    Last month, members of the Ghassanid Royal Family and also board members of the Royal House of Ghassan have visited the world leader of the Bektashi Orderof Sufi Islam at their world headquarters in Tirana, Albania.

    Prince Gharios & Royal Family received by the Grand Mufti of Albania

    Last month, HIRH Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII, head of the Royal House of Ghassan and members of the Ghassanid Royal Familywere officially received by the Grand Mufti of Albania,  Dr. Skënder Bruçaj, the highest Sunni Muslim authority in the country.

    Royal Ghassanid Family visits the President of Albania on his last day in office

    HIRH Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII, head of the Royal House of Ghassan and members of the Ghassanid Royal Family were officially received by Albanian President Bujar Nishani at the presidential palace in Tirana. The president received the Order of Saint Michael Archangel and invited the Royal Family for an exclusive lunch. The president also received the lifetime membership for the Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences, presided by Prof. Dr. phil. Thomas Schirrmacher.

    Together with members of the Royal Ghassanid family from Lebanon and Jordan including Prince Gharios and Sheikh El Chemor, which ruled Lebanon until the 18th century, I had the privilege to discuss religious freedom with the President of Lebanon.
