My interest in the thousands of peoples (and languages) of this world is unbroken. During the preparation of the hearing of the German federal parliament (Deutscher Bundestag 2019, see here) I found these hand-drawn maps of the peoples and religions of Indonesia after my stay there in 1981. Of interest is my assessment of the Islamic dynamics in the regions of Indonesia at that time. That was just 40 years ago and yet you can’t imagine today how we worked back then. You couldn’t get something like that in book form back then.
