Charting a New Direction of Christian-Muslim Relations

Christine Schirrmacher gave a guest lecture for the professors of the faculty of the Asian Institute of the University of Melbourne. The National Centre for Contemporary Islamic Studies (NCCIS), chaired by Professor Abdullah Saeed, is part of the Asian Institute.
Thomas Schirrmacher, Associate Secretary General for Theological Concerns of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), met the Grand Mufti of Kazakhstan, Serikbay Oraz, during a conference in Baku to prepare his subsequent short visit to Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan.
In a double guest lecture at PTS College & Advanced Studies in Dasmarinas City, Philippines, the representatives of the World Evangelical Alliance responsible for Islam and for Theological Education, Christine and Thomas Schirrmacher, together with the college management discussed the question of how the subject of Islam could be taken into greater account in the curriculum.
