On May 29, 2018 there was a gathering of more than 200 representatives from political and public life and from the worldwide prayer breakfast movement. Wolfgang Sobotka, President of the National Council, had extended the invitations to this second National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast in the Hofburg in Vienna.
Prominent guests from Christian churches were Thomas Schirrmacher, Associate Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance, and Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna. The participants represented 15 different denominations and three religions.
